  1. ah, Saint George the dragon slayer. Here to slay my demons.
It may sound silly but i have heard people use a very affect technique for killing urges is to imagine them as a little troll on your shoulder outside you that you don't have to listen to. I have also heard of people having dreams of killing demons or an angel coming to slay them in a dream - that is where i think this very deep archetypal symbol comes from.

relapsed after 7 days, urges were way too strong, literally made me feel like I will release without even touching, and brain pops up sexual images of women even when I am trying to stop it. What I learned is that if I want to go through this, every time when I want to go to bed, I will get an urge, best solution would be to go to bed extremely tired so I can fall asleep quick, otherwise no point half awake and concentrating on the urge which makes it a battle, urges when you are outside doing something are not a problem since you can just focus on your work. Best thing to do I learned is to completely not give yourself chance to focus on the urges.

I'm in, ninety days. No viewing porn, and no masturbation. Also avoiding triggers (such as GoT).

    Day 22. Grinding along still

The longer my streak is, the less likely I am to break it just because I know how hard it is to get a long streak going and wouldn't wanna ruin it

Day 25. This is getting real easy now, I love it

This principle right here is the reason for my current successful streak:

Watch it, it may change your life forever

    Day 26

Had a dirty dream in which I first began to watch P for a few seconds, but literally shook my head and said "NOPE" and closed the video, and instead chose to do things with an actual girl in the dream

    This is great

From doing it once or twice EVERY single day for years now, I went full nine days without doing it, when the urge finally got the better of me. :(
Day 9 and it ended today.
Came here to post just that.

I don't know whether that's good or bad!
I intend to go on another run of "dry" days and I am certain it will be much longer than 9 this time.
Abrupt cessation is a difficult thing.
I would be very satisfied if I can keep stretching it to gradually "giving in" once every few weeks, to once every few months and then finally kicking it out of my system.

I don't know whether that's a bad or good strategy.
Even though I have regrets of not being able to withhold for more than 9 days, it is still a little achievement to break a spell that has lasted for than a decade! Or is it?

There's only one way to find out if it's a good strategy, give it a try brotha. 9 days is a great start for a first try. I think that was my first streak as well, roughly a week and a half.

Why not try this: aim for 30 days. Once you're at around day 20-25, you'll start thinking of rewarding yourself by watching some P at the end of 30 days. But, instead, try telling yourself "I'm already 30 days into this, fuck it let's go another 30"

I think any streak of 20+ days is a large one, and once someone has a streak that big, they should be much less likely to break it

    Day 28

I'm getting bombarded with urges every single day, and yesterday was incredibly tough, I was literally on the BRINK of relapsing, I was so sooo close. I ended up spending 10 minutes watching the beginning few minutes of a couple of videos (kissing etc.), and then very briefly and quickly skimmed a few scenes. I won't count it as a reset, instead I count it as a victory that I was so close to giving in but I basically peeked and was able to shut it down (in the past, this led to a relapse EVERY. single. time., and it's why I won't peek again WHATSOEVER until day 90 minimum)

I think my brain was craving a dopamine hit because I quit video games completely a week ago after playing them regularly (in a non-addicted way) for a long time.

To get my mind off P, I downloaded a game and played it for a few hours until it was time for the gym, hoping it would keep my brain busy. And it worked, I completely forgot about P because my brain must've been flooded with dopamine from the game. Probably not the wisest choice, but it was either the game, or the P.
