Yes, a lot of religious people grew out of it, but if we're going to analyze their holy books, most of them state clearly that homosexuality is a sin.

 

OP, try a reboot, see how you feel. You have nothing to lose and potentially your stability in life to gain back. Stop worrying about the what if's and where for's, and just give it a try. Action, not words, OP, take some action.

You missed the point. She meant that in this and many ppls cases, P can switch someones natural orientation, if the addiction becomes really bad. So it's about P in this case, and not fear of God.

But this guy is obviously not having a natural inclination towards guys, at least what was glimpsed from his story.

Nope. Religion is against homosexuality, not homosexuals. It's against a sin, not a sinner. But I can't speak for other then Christianity. I don't want to get into the debate now, so if you disagree it's cool.

Now I'm gonna ask you guys something and I don't mean to offend anyone in here and the question might seem kinda stupid but...Is it possible that the whole homosexuality is just a HOCD?
Or can people actually feel sexual attraction towards the same sex in their early age?

 

If I'm not wrong, at least in the past, religious people thought gay people chose to be gay ... so in a way they hated "gay people" ? But i completly agree with you on that.

It is possible, but it's very unlikely. Not so much in the present, but in the past, porn wasn't as easily watched. So i would say that a lot of gay people, when they found out that they had an inclination for people of the same sex, they hadn't watched (yet) any kind of porn.

And besides, there are animals that show "gay-like" behaviour. If you want to look stuff about that, do it, because i have not yet, so i can't really say much about the matter. But I'm pretty sure those animals didn't watch porn

Being gay can be prenatal due to special hormonal situations (lots of estrogen for male babies for example - but not only)
There is no proof that homosexuality is hereditary and most children of homosexuals are straight as far as I have seen it. I am sure that homosexuality is and can be influenced by environment and generally influences on the dopamin systems. HomoS can be a fetish of sorts, we have seen it here already.

Agreed. Embracing what your normal is is one thing, embracing the you that is porn warped is entirely another. Plenty of nonviolent guys got into violent rape flavored porn, we don't tell them to embrace that and run with it.
