OK so I was certain I was going to make 90 days this time.

I got to 45 (self discipline, no edging, no porn subs, no K9 blocker) and literally had a massive wet dream the night before. Then I edged today and of course relapsed. What an idiot. Every fucking time ...I can't even get close to three months.

Any wet dream royally fucks me up it seems. And it is not even conscious. Any ideas how I can prepare myself for the next attempt and avoid same issue after an inevitable wet dream? I feel as if I never had a wet dream I could probably make 90. But the excess horniness it causes just kills me.

And then once you fap = you binge.

I really want to make 90days this year.

Yeah I know it takes time, I'm also eating more/better working out 4 days a week, meditating each night, fatiguing my OCD's etc. But after a certain number of days I know the wet dream is 'coming' no pun intended. I feel like if I could just work out a little cheat sheet for such an event I'll be able to get over that hurdle.

Making the 90day mark is so important for me as an achievement, just to prove to myself I have the will power to do it... seeing as I used to fap 3/4 times a day everyday. It is some progress...

I know you can't prevent wet dreams, they're pretty much inevitable but it would sure be nice to have a tried and tested battle plan when the same thing happens again.

Maybe have a 'no using the computer after work for three days running after a wet dream' would work, and a longer gym sesh. I think that might be the way to go unless anyone else has any better ideas.

  3. You can prevent WD's. Granted this is no simple matter.

Firstly, if you are serious enough, and truly resolved at drastically reducing (not to speak of becoming a Master of your own mind, even your subconscious mind, and manifesting complete control of yourself whether awake or dreaming) WD's you NEED TO BE MEDITATING DAILY. What kind of meditation and for how long and at what times is entirely your call, but you need to stick to the practice daily for months to notice the benefits. Three months of meditation is nothing. If you want to hit 90 days the least you can do is meditate every one of those days at least once a day.

Secondly, adjusting your diet to as close to vegetarian as possible if not vegan eating as little eggs and dairy as possible if you cannot forgo those animal products, and also if you can eliminate onion, garlic, chives, scallions as much as possible. This may seem demanding for the uninitiated, but tis a small price to pay to reduce your 'outbursts'.

More can be found on this here, dissect what makes sense to you to help you through 90 days, but alas, this already probably sounds way too daunting for many:

  4. Oh yes, and just because you have a WD doesn't at all mean you have to edge and relapse.

  5. that's a lot of days. try that again, I would not try going over 40 days if I were you. if you can fine. don't put cruel pressure on your self.

I don't believe you can prevent wet dreams, especially the longer you go, it is the body's natural response mechanism to secrete excess (toxins) just like we need to urinate etc. I've looked into lucid dreaming but it is so ridiculous it is not worth it. Who here can say they have the power to control every minute of your unconscious sleep patterns? No one can, trust me.

Meditation, ah yes you're right, meditation for 5 minutes, by that I mean properly, blanking your mind from all thoughts takes months of practice. I am not a meditation master I will concede to that.

As for going vegan, not a chance, I'm on a bulking up regime, that comes first after every thing else. I'm tired of being skinny.

Yes you're right a wet dream, doesn't mean I have an excuse to edge. But I'm looking for ideas to get over it, as my will power seems on point for 45 days which is a long time, and was never tested at all until the Wet Dream. Hmmm.

    Thanks for the input.

The stronger the urge the more desperate your brain gets. It´s the hardest just before being free.
the more you brain struggles the more you are healing. No one can change that.

Off-topic slightly, but what do you mean by "fatiguing my OCDs"? I have some OCD behaviour that I'd really love to get rid of which has a hold of me for nearly a decade now

Please give any advice you can and/or suggest what I should google to cut the OCD stuff

Depends what the OCD is, but in general they all work the same.

    1) Is to stop the compulsions. For example, those with a cleaning disorder have to stop your cleaning compulsions.
    2) Face your fears and do a lot of exposure therapy, for example with a cleaning disorder, gradually leave dishes or worktops unclean... gradually building up.

^^lather rinse and repeat. If you could give an example of your OCD I can offer more specific advice.

You got to 45 days! I dont think a short binge should derail all that progress. I have quit smoking and being an alcoholic. Not masturbating and a numb penis after 4 days is way harder.

Install blockers. Build again the structure that enable you to get that far, go to bed earlier, manage your energy level, meditation in my case is really helpful. 45 days is a lot, a relapse is only a tiny error in such amount of days. Cut the binge as soon as possible. Every time you PMO is a step against your recovery.
This is a learning process, you are going to make mistakes, all of us are. The important thing is to get back up ASAP. You can do this. Good luck.
