    Hi there.

My desperation has finally overpowered my trepidation and shame - here I am! I start my freshman year of college in a few weeks and I can't take this addiction with me.

I started PMO right before 8 grade. Took it all the way through high school, stopped briefly, relapsed, stopped for two years living abroad, and relapsed as soon as I got back. I've known it was wrong since I started. It robs me of my dignity, feelings of self worth, and time to be productive. It also comes into strong conflict with my religious convictions, further complicating the mess.

Those closest to me are having significant difficulties in other areas. I've never been able to ask them for help because of my own shame, and because I don't want to add to the hardships they're going through. It's a living hell, so I have to reach out here. I'm glad this site exists.

After trying to stop and failing innumerous times I'm here. I'll help in any way I can, but this is more of a pleas for help. Help me realize my potential and retake control of my life! Thank you.

    Hey there,

New here as well. Never been on one of these community sites, but I've felt like I have no where to turn really. I've been fighting this addiction for over a decade, and I'm quite honestly tired. Not tired as I'm about to do something crazy, but more like "damn is there light at the end of this dark tunnel"? I've had a lot of friends but they've never been addicted to it like I have so I think it's hard talking to anyone about it. Glad I found this place and hope that talking stuff out will help on this road to recovery.

What I do know is that the very few times that I have been sober, were very awesome and it was as if I was starting a new life.
