Day 40/48: In need of advice

    Hello

    I could use some help here. I'm currently at my 40th day of not watching P and my 48th day of not M-ing. (This is my first challenge). Until now it has been ok, but in the last days it was very intense. Last night I couldn't fall asleep because I felt a very strong desire to M. I woke up and started to read the forum and did some language exercises on Duolingo. It went away after 30 minutes, but it was extremely strong. I was on the point of M-ing.

    If you believe I shouldn't M, what should I do in order to lower my desires? They've started a few days ago and it's getting stronger and stronger. I feel I will eventually M and then stop for another period.

    Would it be something very negative if I M-ed now after almost 50 days? (without watching P, of course) I actually wanted to quit only P in order to change my self-confidence and be able to get a girlfriend. I quit M too only because I read about doing it on the forum.

    Idk your whole story man but I would caution you against M right now.. it's a slippery slope that can lead to watching porn pretty easily.. plus the abuse we've put ourselves through isn't just mental, it's physical. When you jerk off you release a ton of hormones in your body to prepare the penus for election/ejaculation.. a lot of the PIED problems people have are due to these hormones being over spent.

    I've been in your same position where I have a long streak and the physical urge is just so overwhelming, and I'm single so there's no real chance for real life sexual encounters. But I would strongly advise you stay the course. I've found that icing your balls helps, as does cold showers. Those two methods can definitely decrease the urge without actually fapping again.

    I can only give you one advice. Dont do it!
    I wrote it once in another post and i will tell you too. Some time ago i read somewhere that your urges diminish over time,but right before extinction
    your addiction tries to fool you back into old habits (with STRONGER argument as before,because its scared to death about your willpower).
    I believe in that because i felt that way myself many times when i tried to quit some bad habits.
    Your thoughts get occupied by your urges. Your mind says things like:
    - Only one cigarette,what can happen? I can immediately stop again after that ! My willpower is much stronger now!
    - One orgasm only. Why could that be that bad? All my friend who live a healthy life do it too!
    - One time M without P. After that i will stop again!

    The fact that you have such strong urges now shows how far you got on your path. The good thing is that the stronger urges
    go away as quickly as the weaker ones if you stay calm and push them aside.

    After your reboot,when you really FEEL that you are free,you can start masturbating occasionally again. But that will feel different than what you feel right now.
    It wont be an urge that MUST be satisfied at all costs.

    You have 48 days now.WOW! Be proud and stay strong!

    Have you read the official reboot bible (https://www.nofap.com/rebooting/)?

    According to that, Masturbation is OK, depending on your choices and your situation, it's all up to you.

    If you want to lower your desires, you could tweak your diet:

    1. decrease the amount of fat you eat from your diet; eat just carbs and protein; that would surely lower your libido by decreasing your Testosterone
    2. decrease the amount of veggies that you eat, stay away especially from green veggies (decreases your Nitric Oxide)

    Go For Jogging Or Do Some Exercises It Will Help A Lot To Use The Sexual Energy Into Something useful
