Hello, everyone.

I'm so excited that I found this site. The ideas being promoted here are exactly what I need. I don't find my way to reddit very much; i just don't really like that site, but I'm glad I made it here. Even though I probably won't meet any of you in person, just having an outlet to read and write about my journey along with others will be awesome. I already love how encouraging and communicative many of you are, simply from reading forum posts.

I won't put too much of my history in this intro (I'll write a novel for my first journal entry), but long story short:

I was first "introduced" to porn my freshman year of high school; first started masturbation and fantasizing as stress relief in college. Over the years (I'm 30 now), I've increased the amount/intensity/magnitude of each PMO "session" until about four years ago, when I realized it was ruining my life. Since then, I've gone on some good streaks of no porn (four weeks being my longest), but would always come back to it. And when I do, I seem to make up for lost time. Ha...

But I've seen first-hand the amazing turn-around and life change that can happen when this stuff is cut out. I know I can be a better person and the man I want to be when I don't give in to these temptations.

So! I'm looking forward to hearing from you guys, and I want to do my part to be an encourager and mentor, especially to you younger guys who are already struggling.
