What is / was your definition of porn?

I know it's not a subjective thing, I know there is an objective definition of porn out there in a dictionary and stuff. And now I know that. But I remember a point where I did not knew it. Basically what I thought is porn was just videos of people having sex for viewers enjoyment. Which is kinda limited view on it, cos there is much more to it. So now that I look back at it I realize that back then when I did my first 90 day reboot challenge I might have actually relapsed at day 80-something and not actually fully completed it. Cos back then what I thought was P-subs might as well be full porn.

Anyhow, I'm just curious, is anybody else had the similar experience? When they thought porn was one thing but later realized that other things they thought were just p-subs are actually porn? How did you felt? I was pretty surprised lol and a little bit sad that I did not knew that. Cos looking back I feel like oh, I thought I completed those 90 days, but it turns out I didn't, well that's sad. Or maybe you still define porn in a certain way but exclude some things that maybe should be added? What is your definition of porn? have you ever questioned that it might be wrong or incomplete? Questions, questions, questions.

 

I KNOW NOW that those things I did relapse back then to were porn not just p-subs like I thought back then, that's for sure. As far p-sub example, well, an example would be an underwear advertisement. Or maybe a picture of a hot girl on Instagram. Things like that. Something that is not porn but what we still use to replace it.

 

Porn is anything you find sexually stimulating that is not a flesh and blood person you personally know.

 

So you don't seem to draw a distinction between porn and p-subs? Interesting.

Personally I do think that there can exist porn that also pulls you in emotionally, not just physically. You seem to disagree with that? This is also interesting way how to look at it though. I wonder, how would you call a home made video of you and your love of life. Imagine a scenario where man is watching it and being turned on sexually by pixels while also being stimulated emotionally because he really loves that woman and remembers the feelings he felt while doing that in the video. Would you call that porn or do you think it should pass?

 

Hmm. I personally would not count fantasizing as porn. All tho I know people who would differ in opinion. Science say that fantasies can be just as vivid as a real thing. I don't know.

The first part is OK but, in all due respect, the caveat is a load of fucking bollocks. How does knowing someone make any difference to whether it is sexually stimulating i.e. porn or not? This is like some grubby, self-serving loophole.

 

Ah yes indeed! That what porn basically is, isn't it? A legalized prostitution!
