Whether you have been rebooting for a long time or just starting, it never hurts to go back to the basics. I read through this article on yourbrainonporn.com and it was very educational. It has even reminded me of some things that I have forgotten or didn't remember. Take some time and read for yourself. It was very helpful.

Thanks for posting this! I'm new to this lifestyle and this article helped me understand the message that not everyone should stick to the same parameters because we're all different and in different situations. I was becoming skeptical about NoFap's guidelines and this reassured me that what I'm trying to accomplish might be approached differently than others.

That is exactly right. One's journey is different from another's. You have to make it so it works best for you. Stay strong!

First, try to calm yourself and step away from the computer if you need to. Take a cold shower, go for a walk or a run, go to a cafe that is open or a store and walk around, something different than what you are doing. Learn from this experience and analyze the events, thoughts and feelings that you had that led up to this situation. Write up a plan of action so when you feel triggered again you can enact it immediately without thinking, those few seconds can be very precious. Sometimes when we have been trying and trying we just need to get back to the basics. Take one day at a time and be patient. Don't give up. I hope this helped as well. Stay strong!
