Finally beating the addiction!

    In the last month I had my first 1 week clean stretch in years. Then I relapsed once and I'm now 3 weeks clean.

    The depression and anxiety suck tho. Like nothing really feels real anymore. Also the ED sucks but whateves I guess.

    I started going to a walk in clinic/ therapist every week which really helps

    Man I really hope I start to feel better soon, cause I'm 26 and still a virgin due to the addiction plus I have a ton of anxiety from having a chronic medical issue since birth, congenital heart disease. So I've had 3 open heart surgeries, and have a pacemaker...

    Gah I just want to feel "normal" so I can maybe get a girlfriend. The loneliness is the worst part of all this.

    Planning a mushroom trip with new friends tomorrow which will even further get rid of the addiction and hopefully alleviate the anxiety and depression.

    Tbh the mushrooms have helped big time in the past in terms of putting the addiction into perspective and giving me the courage to quit.

    13 years of my life down the drain, :-/

    you'll get there man, hang in there.

    would recommend you dont take any mind altering substances though, the 'help' is deceptive. think about it this way, you want your brain to gain perspective on its own right? taking drugs is a crutch which keeps your brain weak. the struggle of growing your consciousness with a sober, addiction free brain is what will take you to the next level

    i used to think that shrooms brought me closer to realizing truth, until i realized that i can get there sober too. may take longer but it'll be permanent, unlike epiphanies from a drug trip, which never fully become a part of me

    And I fucked up this morning.... I watched but didn't masturbate. Apparently I gotta give up alcohol and weed too since hangovers trigger porn. Def feeling like a drug addict.

    It's the loneliness that kills me.

    Hangovers triggered porn for me too. It really helps to give up alcohol (and the hangover) for a while. You will see the difference!
