Please suggest any free and effective software to block pornographic websites?
I came to know that my 12 year old son is watching dirty movies on Internet. What should I do? Should I let it go? I am sorry I can't. So please suggest any software to block all the pornographic content. I don't want him to access those unwanted things any more. It will be better if you suggest a freeware. Otherwise please provide serial key to unlock it. By the way, my son is using a Mac.

K9 Web protection. I've been using this for 10 days and is very good. It blocks contents from all web browsers. Also. It's free.

yeah definitely block twitter, instagram etc their full of porn. i would also suggest that you consider talking to your son, its a hard conversation to have but me and my dad had it and the key is not to be shaming, normalize it and be loving towards him, but at the same time get the point across that its not okay.

  5. If you want to block content on a single computer, K9 is the best choice. If you're looking to cover a whole wireless network I suggest you look into Opendns.com. They're both free and work very well.

If you wanna block many many sites, I suggest you install Aobo filter for Mac. You can add the websites you don't want to blacklist or just set keywords to block websites, games and programs. It works in stealth mode, and won't show in the task manager. With password protection so that no one can change your settings without password. I am sorry it is not free. You have to pay what you get. http://download.cnet.com/Aobo-Filter-for-Mac-Standard/3000-27064_4-75444698.html

I would just like to emphasize what Nate said:
or he will probably get his "fix" somewhere else.

Children's use of the Internet can lead to exposure to inappropriate information, spreading gossip and inappropriate pictures, bullying, stalking, and even overtures from predators. One thing parents can do is use filters and parental settings on home computers. It seems that Open DNS is very good and free.
