A Simple Short Promise

  1. Though I know it isn't going to be easy, I will try to abstain from PMO in order to be the role model that I want to be and that young people need. So far I've written too much and I've done too little, so now it's time to let my PMO tracker speak first, not my words.

I'm aware that this will take a lot of effort and time, but if I can help at least one person through my own example, I think it's worth it.

I agree completely. I tend to spend my time in the forums trying to encourage others while my own counter is typically single-digits.

Actions speak louder than words and good leaders lead by example. Hopefully my counter will mirror your own.

    Good luck!

For some reason I find it easier to help other people than help myself, I guess being on the forum helps discourage relapsing but at the same time it cant work that well otherwise I'd have met my goal by now. I think we run the risk of being too focussed on the community aspect of this site and neglect our personal struggles sometimes.

I've only recently become more active in the forums, I've tried many, many times to quit on my own. Don't usually get too far. The forums do help, as long as you focus on your own goals and purpose for doing this.

Sometime the religious zealots who condemn everything need to take a step back and tone it down. Not everyone sees everything as a sin, sometimes it's just something that we are trying to change for the betterment of ourselves.

  6. Hi. Much like you I want to kill this addiction and help others do the same and I won't quit until the world knows how dangerous porn is.

I'd like to give you this piece of advice its something I've learned the hard way. You can't just quit porn, you can't just say I'm not going to quit porn and that's it. If this is your mind set your doomed for failure.

You have to better yourself in other areas. You have to better yourself everyday mentally, physically and spiritually.... It's the only way.

    Stay strong and fight hard!
