Leaving is never a good idea. Forgiveness is the key here.

@Roady No you're wrong the first step is leaving because you suffered from emotional abuse and neglect. After going to therapy and resolving your own mood swings to ensure the ability of thinking clearly then you can start to understand, but not condone.
