once i lay down my arousal intensifies an fantasy thoughts flood my mind so i a have to get back up then go find something to do an ignore my sleepy feeling blah
Maybe something relaxing like a stretching session, some meditation and a little nap if possible. Or a jog and a cold shower. Or a classic film, book or piece of music.
to shut down the noise of silence and noise of screaming and horrifying noise in your head when your eyes closed. I set a Timer on my IPhone to shut the music after 25 mins. It works :)
