Without knowing your situation and being pretty presumptous with this, first: you probably have lots of time, and I wish you to be able enjoy the f out of it with good people. Second: Maybe you're not letting yourself be vulnarable, accepting yourself and show people the honest version of yourself? But don't mind me on this 2 much, because I really don't know you.. yet at least ;)

Knowing someone well, takes a lot of time and effort. It's nothing strange there. As for them liking you are not, perhaps this is just your perception? Meaning they do like you as a person but you may be overthinking it?
