Many therapist and Sexologist argue weather sex addiction is real or not so I'm glad your getting the support you require. Weather it is real or nor if your sex life is causing you are others around you harm its a good idea to as others around inquiry for better health.
Yeah I could see his doubts in that regard but PIED fits perfectly into the sexology-framework perfectly which is what we will be working on primarily I think.
And I can understand it because the whole concept of p-addiction undermines their primary assumption that masturbation (with or without porn) is the purest expression of ones sexuality and they may very well be right with that in an average joe but not when it comes to addicts.
We usually don't watch the things we would be attracted to in real life but escalate further and further towards and beyond extremes that we often are incredibly disgusted at what we fapped to after the orgasm! So that concept doesn't really apply to us anymore!
And I mean it's a rather small modification they need to do to their primary assumption so there's really no need to resist it so hard, but I heard from multiple sources that many discard p-addiction as bigoted right-wing bs but as I said they can't do that much longer!
