I'm 24 and I've been a porn addict for around 7-8 years. When I start watching porn, I didn't think there was anything wrong with it. However, when I became a Christian around age of 22, I realized porn was wrong . . . so I started fighting. Now, I'm 24 years old and still fighting. I've found a way to make it difficult to watch porn:
    • I got rid of my smartphone (now I use a Light Phone - it's great. Search on Google if you can)
    • I got rid of my personal computer (I use public library computer's or my work laptop for computer needs)
    • I even (at one point) removed the WIFI in my apartment
Doing this has shown me that I am addicted to pornography. Because I don't have easy access to porn, the addict in me has found ridiculous ways to get the high that comes from PMO-ing.

It's gotten so bad that I lock away my credit and debit cards at night (when I'm most tempted). What I've learned about myself over the past few days is that a tough day at work or my anger towards my dad cause me to PMO.

But I'm still learning and still fighting. Please share any tips or suggestions.

Also, here are some other steps I take to fight porn:
    • Game Plan by Joe Dallas (30 Day plan) - HIGHLY Recommend if Christian
    • Unwanted - Jay Stringer
    • Light Phone
    • CovenantEyes

Hi, I see you both use covenant eyes. I have recently downloaded it too and it is very good. Can I ask do you both have an accountability partner? I am using it without one at the moment which means I can just disable it anytime I'm feeling weak so it would be better to have an AP. I'm interested to know if you do use it on your own, how do you stop yourself from just entering the password and disabling it when you are feeling low? I'm considering changing the password and not writing it down but then I'll never be able to cancel the subscription if I need to. Any help would be appreciated, all the best :)

I have a friend who is my accountability partner. He is also fighting a porn addiction. Not having an accountability partner defeats the purpose of CovenantEyes. If this is possible, get rid of your smartphone and computer. That has made it difficult for me to get access to porn. I don't have a personal computer, but I use CovenantEyes on my work computer . . . because I have tried to look at sexual images on my work computer. There is a channel in the NoFap forum for people looking for accountability partners. Try posting there. BUT if I have to give a solution, work on getting a NON-smartphone. The Light Phone is a great option. Get rid of your personal computer and only use public computers at the library. Or even get rid of your WIFI. These are hard, but worth it
