35 years old. Currently at day 63, hard mode, of my first try. I have felt many of the benefits and downsides I have read on this forum and still don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. However, porn has damaged me so much that I don't want to use it never again.

I am afraid of relapsing though. And since I feel that many guys relapse and have a hard time quitting porn I would like to help them (and me) with a list of tips. I will be very direct, so I hope I do not offend anyone.

    - Remember that you are going to die. Hopefully in 50 or 60 years, but eventually you will. Would you like to fap for the rest of your days? You already know how it feels like to be a porn addict. You need to break free if you want to be happy. Porn addiction is relatively new, but some people will pmo until they get old. Look at what is happening in Japan, it is just the first country facing this problem on a big scale. They even invented the term "herbivore man". Check it out.

    - Read the benefits that other guys experience. It can also happen to you. I read this forum constantly and it gives me a lot of motivation, so thank you guys for all your stories.

    - Discipline is a key word. Look up what it means and practice it. Once I read that you can only be brave when you feel afraid. In the same way, to keep discipline you need to have the chance to procrastinate/relapse first. Besides that, bear in mind that addictions don't accept a middle-ground solution. They are like a jealous partner.

    - Exercise. To me it would be impossible to reboot without exercising. It makes you burn the extra energy you get, you'll feel better and will have a better body.

    - Nutrition. Stop eating shitty food and learn how to eat if you think you don't know. Get informed. Sugar can be another addiction.

    - Quit drugs if you use them. I stopped smoking weed because it made me prone to stay alone at home and watch porn. I smoke less cigarettes and I will try to quit once I feel I am done with the hardest part of reboot.

    - Social skills. We are social animals, we need to have friends and intimate with people. Severals years ago I realised how limited my social skills were. If that is also your case be aware that we all can change. Read and get inform, don't be afraid of mistakes, don't play the victim role and have discipline!

If you want to be happy, to love and to be loved, rebooting is part of the price to pay.

    I hope it helps.
