    Hi nofappers,

All my other internet devices are finally safe now and I'm doing meditation daily. I really don't know what else to do if this is not working now. It's almost impossible for me to consume porn or it involves quite some effort and time to get access to it. I started in Jan this year and my longest streak was 28 days but that's already months ago now. In fact my addiction got worse after the first attempts of trying to quit porn.

Was anyone else experiencing the same?

Yes, I did. I assume it is your brain telling you that quitting is not a good thing. All that dopamine release, or the good feeling during, tells the brain that this is good to our survival since the primitive part of the brain doesn't know any better. It gets harder because we go through withdrawals of no porn. I usually go through some urges the first couple days with a lot of discomfort. And you first have to deal with that hurdle. Wherever you become uncomfortable, or wherever you usually relapse, you will first experience discomfort and your body's natural response to that is discomfort. When you experience this know what is going on in your mind and realize that it isn't you it is your primitive brain. You have numbed yourself to emotions so when bad emotions come up you run away. You soon condition yourself to need porn to just not feel bad. The bad news is you will have to get use to discomfort but eventually it will go away. You cannot edge though, no porn because we are all addicted to the release of dopamine not the big O. Learn to experience discomfort and be ok with being uncomfortable. If it gets unbearable at certain times, don't edge leave the room you are in. Go for a short walk without your phone. You can do this, read as much as you can about porn addiction and know it isn't you, it is your primitive brain that wants to look.
