I know most people wont read this as most people do not skim the newbies subforum on most forums. But it feels good just to sign up. Its like taking part in a collective soul. Possibly I can derive energy from those here who will share in the suffering...

I've not made it past 14 days. I have gone multiple attempts(at least 5 streaks) and failed every time at around the same benchmark. I think I begin to lose my resolve and purpose for why I am doing what I am doing at around that time. My mind begins playing tricks on me.....

I just fapped and feel like shit. I knew i'd feel like shit even before I fapped. As I fapped, I knew id feel like shit after finishing. And as I felt like shit, I knew previously that i'd feel like shit for feeling like shit. Its funny.

Hopefully registering here and getting to be part of a community will strengthen me.

    Thanks for the forum.

You'd be surprised, I think I spend more time personally on the newbies section ahah - people struggling need to be welcomed and offered advice/support and I'm pretty certain I'm not the only one to think that way :p It does feel like joining a comfortable support group of sorts actually, I was really glad when I signed up also.

14 days is an impressive amount of time! Especially if you've been heavily addicted for a long time. Remember that it is an addiction, and that it's difficult to overcome. One of the journals I read recently was of a guy who took 20 attempts before succeeding in going like, 30 days or something! Quite incredible really, but never giving up is the key.

Identify your triggers (so you know what to avoid), do some research ( www.yourbrainonporn.com has lots of articles and information and whatnot), read around the forums (success stories and journals - you'll be amazed at how similar your situation is to other peoples!), and with the right attitude you can beat it for sure!

    Best of luck dude.
