"The document also gives tips for discussing masturbation with middle-schoolers, including telling them it is not physically harmful, and for discussing puberty with transgender teens that creates “an environment that is inclusive and challenges binary concepts about gender.”

I was just wondering what you all thought of this. Is it really the school's business to teach kids that masturbation is okay or to challenge the facts about gender? (The fact being that there's only two: male and female).

    What do you guys think?

  2. I cant read the link bc i dont play around with national news sources. But for the sake of argument, lets assume what theyre saying is truthful and actually happening.

I do have one question. Is this school a private or public school? If its a private or catholic school they can do whatever crazy stuff they want to.

If its a public school, then they have no business teaching that and i would think its strange if i was a parent of a child going there.

MO is healthy. And thats something people here dont understand. Now its healthy in the since if you do it once in the while, its a sign of a healthy sex drive. Now porn is not healthy or beneficial in any way. Now we should refrain from MO bc we became addicts to PMO.

Its like with anything almost. A glass of beer contains nutrients that are beneficial to your health, but only if consumed seldomly. So when we were PMO'ing and looking online if its healthy bc we thought maybe we were doing it in excess, the websites said it was healthy. They aint lying. But not in a grave magnitude. Same with drinking, smoking weed, working out, etc.

They have no business in teaching about MO (except in sex education classes) & binary genders, which i cant comment on.

I dont think it is all wrong. Mastubating can help you to explore yourself when you are 12-13.

  5. Sex education is broken and needs to be fixed.

But... you can get repetitive motion injuries from masturbation.

For me the issue is always in order to accomplish masturbation, one needs stimulation. And that leads to either fantasizing, which leads to unjust objectification, or porn.

It does not surprise me that California passed such a law. Would be nice if they were their own country and they took the ninth circuit with them.

Please note Catholic schools can’t do “whatever crazy stuff they want to.” They are required to follow the direction of the Diocese, which would be equivalent to the district in public schools.

When I don’t have kids, they definitely won’t be going to schools like this that I won’t need to consider. Wow!

  10. For real. Try to masturbate without porn or objectification and it's probably impossible.

  11. Business as usual. Public schools molding kids into weak, addicted , sexually confused drones via social engineering disguised as education. I think schools should teach reading, math and trades.

  12. Perhaps crazy wasnt necessary. What i mean is, i dont care what they do in my eyes. They can do whatever they want to do bc they aren't a public school. Not that they can physically start sacraficing virgins in the name of the Lord or something. So they do have standards of course. If those standards included teaching kids about MO practices & non-binary gender concepts in private or catholic schools, then thats fine w me bc the parents made a decision to put them into that special schooling. But i dont think the Catholic schools would do that, doesn't seem like their cup of tea tbh

  13. Expand? & did you go private or public?
They do? I went to public schools and learned on more than a basic level reading and math. Idk what you mean by trades. If you mean stocks and stuff, i disagree. But i presume you mean different areas of work outside of the college route, which i agree.

And that's where the schooling system has failed a bit. It prepares everybody for college, when not everybody should be going to college. Although they do teach some classes that are aligned outside of college like physical education (which is necessary imo), shop class, cooking class, and art class, but it's not nearly enough.

Also, i highly think public schools should include in their mandatory classes how to do taxes, buy houses, fill out government forms, write letters, etc. Real adult tasks

  15. Public schools are essentially social indoctrination camps for social engineering and have moved well beyond the scope of general education. I've attended both public and private schools.
"Trade: a skilled job, typically one requiring manual skills and special training.
"the fundamentals of the construction trade"
synonyms: craft, occupation, job, day job, career, profession, business, pursuit, living, livelihood, line, line of work, line of business, vocation, calling, walk of life, province, field; More"
I'm good with your suggestions as these are skills that give students more general options. I take issue when schools take the liberty to encourage things like masturbation, homosexuality and made-up unsceintifically sound information on sexuality. Schools were created to teach life skills, not influence sexuality. People should determine their own sexual path once they become adults.

  17. This is sick, and it's yet another reason why I will be homeschooling my kids if I ever have any. Screw this crap. I'm not going to let people confuse my children into not knowing what gender they are while they're trying to find themselves and learn about themselves. This is revolting and it should be illegal. There's a reason so many young teens now identify as "trans" and it's not because all of them have the rare mental disorder of gender dysphoria. It's because of shit like this confusing them and making swapping your gender look like some fun thing that sets you apart and makes you different or something. It's sick. We need to protect our children from this brainwashing.

I honestly don't even care about the masturbation part in comparison to the gender stuff. I mean I would rather my kids not be taught that, but whatever, I'll just teach them the truth when they get home from school. But that gender stuff can ruin people's lives. It's not a freaking game.

It's stuff like this that makes me really frustrated to live in a state surrounded by this crap all the time. I really think separating the northern part of the state might be a good idea. But only if the bay area goes with the south part, otherwise it's pointless and conservative votes will still be meaningless.
