Can someone give me an article or something that shows what porn does on the brain?

I've seen how it can reduce grey matter and when I've gone on NoFap streaks (longest is 96 days) I've noticed that my memory, mood, and energy levels are all up. However, just for curiosity's sake, I'm wondering if it's actually the porn that's preventing those positive changes, or if it's ejaculating in general. What makes the combination of hard-core porn and masturbating anymore harmful than just masturbating to orgasm by itself, physiologically and psychologically?

I know we say it's "over-stimulating" and that "girls don't really act like that." which are both true, but what about the porn star? If NoFap is encouraged but we say sex is fine because it's with "real" people, than does that mean if a porn star has an eight-some that this is fine, because he's actually living the fantasy?

I'm in no way trying to defend porn. It is disgusting. That could be my daughter one day. Even if it were my ex-girlfriend, I'd still be torn up seeing that. What my question is is why the porn itself is harmful in ways other than morally. How is it more harmful than masturbating to a bikini picture? And if it is more harmful, is it more harmful for a pornstar to act in scenes that are "more stimulating" and "less realistic" than it is for him to act in a normal sex scene?

    I love to ramble.

    God bless.

As someone who's probably gone on long streaks, you've probably already seen this, but just in case you haven't...

About the comparison of porn to a bikini photo, I really think it comes down to the amount of stimulation. And this is evidenced by the fact that widespreadf youthful erectile dysfunction is a very new phenomenon, because high speed internet porn is also a very new phenomenon, which I'm almost certain Mr. Wilson talks about in that Ted Talk above.

Like, the porn regularly used today is so much different that porn our ancestors had.

As for the porn star analogy, would a porn star do an eight-some if they weren't getting paid for it? If not, then it is fake and shallow, since the primary reason they're doing it is financial and not because of attraction or excitement or whatever. If someone does an eight some without being paid, then maybe it should be considered real and possibly a rewarding experience. I say maybe because that might also be over-stimulating to the point of being harmful, but at least it's not motivated by money, which would likely make it fake regardless.
I guess it could be motivated by money and excitement, but it could only be considered real if the person was truly willing to do it without the money.
Again, I'm not advocating participating in an orgy... This is just my train of thought at the moment.

EDIT: Just watched that Ted Talk for the first time in like, over a year, and yes he does compare high speed internet porn to playboy, which should inform your bikini question, and more.

And sorry about the [br]s. Those weren't there last time I watched it.
