I joined two days ago, but haven't quite figured out this whole forum thing, but want to get some interaction. I am a married Christian man 61 years old that has battled with this porn/masturbation thing since I guess I was 15-16 years old. I believe it started after I was molested in a summer camp. Today I have been married for 28 years, have 4 children and am tired of the guilt from hiding my addiction(you know, I never thought it was an addiction before). My family is not aware as far as I know, but I know God is definitely aware. Anyway, just a post to introduce myself, and hopefully be rid of this problem.
I'm glad you found the forum, edward. Porn addiction is so destructive and in ways not readily apparent like how we interact with others and how we see life. My advice is to get an accountability partner, someone with whom you can check in daily about your stuggles and successes and have frank discussions, and start a journal to record your journey towards a porn-free life.
