Hi, I'm Ritesh. The first time I watched porn, I was in 7th grade. My friend showed it to me on his phone at school, and after that, I started watching porn on my own mobile. Eventually, I felt the urge to masturbate, and I did. In the beginning, everything felt new and good. Over time, without realizing it, porn and masturbation became an addiction and habit for me. It's been 6 years now, and this addiction has become so dangerous that I masturbate 2 to 3 times daily because of it. It's not that I haven't tried to quit. I've attempted multiple times, sometimes managing to abstain for 20 days, sometimes 11 days, but I end up returning to this unhealthy habit. However, this time, I've made up my mind to gain control over myself and break free from this habit. It has started affecting my relationships and friendships, leading to inappropriate thoughts and actions. Getting rid of this destructive habit is crucial for a better life. I've done extensive online research, read articles, and listened to audiobooks, but they all suggest different things. I heard about the NoFap community on an audiobook app called KukuFM and decided to join. I hope this will help me and I will overcome this habit. There is a way where there is a will. Thank you because this is the first time I am sharing about my personal habit and addiction. Please help the NoFap community for my deaddiction from masturbation and porn addiction.

Hey! Welcome to the community! You are definitely in a good place...plenty of support here.

I've quit and restarted MANY times over the past 20+ years, and the one thing I found to be most important is my dedication to a program of recovery. As long as I come to this community multiple times a day and update my journal, DM with my accountability partners, welcome new comers, and read and reply to any forum post I can add value, I stand a chance at staying sober. The moment I begin to back off is when things go downhill for me.

I encourage you to start a daily journal in the 'Reboot Logs' section and update daily. I usually update two times a day minimum. Also, I encourage you to connect with like-minded members and start some DM conversations. All of this will also help you with accountability.

A few other things that help me are healthy eating, adequate sleep, prayer and meditation, and exercise.

Again, welcome to the community! Wishing you the best!
