Don't Stop Believin': Could one really smell the wine?

    Major topic here. So I'm listening to Journey's song "Don't Stop Believin'" and I hear the following lyrics:

    A singer in a smoky room
    A smell of wine and cheap perfume

    I contend that with the smell of smoke from the room and the strong fragrance of a cheap perfume one could never smell the light bouquet of wine.
