Elo! I'm 17 years and new here.

I'm a 17 year old in High School. I've been using porn since 15 and have been trying to get out on my own ever since the first time curiosity brought me to it.

So, I am Catholic and using pornography every time always overall brought me more guilt and relief. I tried my hand at having relationships but it always feels like I have been forcing sexual interaction on important people in my life and that just brings me even more guilt. I remembered I just get angry at myself for being so weak, that it was my body controlling me rather than the other way around.

I have always wanted to quit porn, the first time I tried quitting I lasted a month or two but it was only after one or two times using it, now I regret not ending it there when I could have easily. I am also quitting now, and finally making the decision to join the community, because it is the season of Lent for Catholics, when I chose to give up this bad habit of mine to be closer and more in touch with myself, the world and God.

I spent two years fighting this bad addiction of mine for two years and I am growing kinda tired and restless, and now the thing I aspire for is for 2021 to be the last year I use pornography and masturbate.
