Hello, everyone! My name is Eric Sturz (as seen in the title of the thread, hahahaha), I'm 23 years old. I live down here in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. I'm Brazilian and American (dad's American and my mom's Brazilian). Heck, why not also say that I'm a guitar player for about 11-12 years? I like to think that now and it's safe to say that I'm pretty good at it (at least my Dad says so hahahaha). Anyways, I'm currently in my last year of Bus.Ad. and currently struggling with my porn/masturbation addiction. I've been seeing a psychologist about my addiction and he's been helping me. Still, I need help whenever I am not with him. So basically, about a week or two. That's a HECK of a long time to relapse, dude. For me, sometimes, when my body is asking for it, man, it seems like a mountain that engulfs me and that I can never beat. I want to BEAT this mountain, kick my porn/masturbation addiction in the face. I understand that this website is not an anti-masturbation site, but for me one thing is tide into one another. If I start masturbating, I start wanting to look at porn, my way of thinking changes and you all know what's this about, right? Last night, I "fought" with my girlfriend about some issue of my addiction, now realizing that I'm victimizing myself, and was a bit bummed about it. So there was a motive for what comes next. After hearing my mom talk about Terry Crews porn addiction I decided to look into what he was talking about. Which led me to watch other vids on YouTube talking about porn addiction, what it does to the brain, and the list goes on and on. Gender dominance and other scary stuff. On one of the videos, this dude from Unconventional Living channel talks about NoFap and it interested me. However, I continued to research and this Father Mike Schmitz talks about accountability and what not from a site or app. It's called Covenant Eyes. I find it to be really great, but it's a site or app that you need to pay into. Since I'm here, I figured I wouldn't buy it because I would need to pay in $US Dollars plus taxes and etc., etc. Finally, I read here in NoFap that there is also accountability with real people that you talk to, plus the fact that there are tips and trick to help you with when you're wanting to relapse and what not, and an app that helps you to count the days. So those three things did it for me. Also, there is the fact that I do NOT want to be in a SUCKY relationship with me girlfriend. I've been there, done that... NOT WORTH IT! I would do anything for her. I love her and want to build that AWESOME relationship that we're aiming for! PS: If I make it to Thursday, it's gonna be two WHOLE weeks without looking at porn and masturbating. WOOOOHOOOOO \O/ I want to continue like this, so this is another reason. Thanks!
