I notice I've been starting to fantasize about having sex with my favorite p star from my fapping days. I have no urge to look at porn but I would like the thoughts out of my head. Any ideas?

    Are you using porn blockers?

I have found by using them on my devices my visual fantasies have pretty much disappeared altogether.

I am using a porn blocker. I haven't looked at any porn nor do I have the urge to. I just was fantasizing about banging her for some reason.

Unless it's affecting your reboot I wouldn't be overally concerned by a fantasy.

I actually find a fantasy can sometimes prevent a relapse.

A fantasy preventing relapse? Could you explain more?

  8. Fantasising can be the thin end of the PMO wedge so to speak. Too many give themselves permission to fantasise having sex or imagining naked bodies etc. This is not conducive to your reboot. It may see inconsequential if you are currently in a flatline. But they will come back and bite you hard in the ass. So, your wish to stop them is commendable @Rick C-137. :)

The best approach is to deal with them instantaneously. The moment they appear, go to work on removing them. This is done by filling your mind with something else. Then, there is no room for the fantasy to remain. One example I like to use (where appropriate) is to sing! You can go through the lyrics in your head, but better still, sing it out - along with the CD if it is handy. This requires so much attention from your brain, the fantasy cannot compete. If the fantasy returns repeat the song or select another. Use a CD lyric booklet if you have a poor memory. There are many other ways to distract yourself.

Thanks for the advice. I was actually going to try and get some reading done today. That'll definitely block it out.

  10. If it becomes a struggle with the reading, try reading out loud for a while - that should work.

I don't think it will be. Asoiaf requires all my mental energy with all the details, history, and impossibly subtle foreshadowing.

I'm finding that fantasizing is the beginning of every failure, and it's best to put it out of your mind right away. Once the fantasies begin, it's a slippery slope to edging, and from there O is inevitable. Best to nip them in the but, which is not easy. I'm dropping a friend, because all he ever talks about is "banging", and is always pointing out target ladies. It's hard enough cutting out my own fantasies, without having to deal with his.
