    Hey y'all,

I've known about NoFap for years and I finally joined a month ago, but have been too nervous to write a post. I've been PMO-ing nearly daily (often more than once in a day) since I was 13 and have been trying to stop since college (I'm 24 now). I've been lucky enough to live abroad, and had no private internet access for a long time while doing so (internet cafes only), and the difference I felt was amazing. I made it about 2 or 3 months almost without meaning to. Now I'm back in the US and have internet and a smartphone, so of course it's much tougher. Still, I'm excited to be joining a community. I'm not sure why, but something about making the 90-day commitment to other people makes the prospect seem exciting, rather than intimidating.

Here I go. Wish me luck.

You can do this! The intimidation you feel is the thought of change and we don't like change in areas that we truly like. Victory is yours, you just have to prepare for it. The internet obviously is your enemy. Place a porn-blocking software on your laptop/ smartphone. An accountability partner will be great for you so that you can reach out to someone in times of weakness. Delete all history and cookies. What are your triggers?

Creating a journal will help you as well.
