  1. Hey all I recall hearing about the nofap forums a few years ago but never payed much attention to them
In hindsight sight it would have been beneficial.
Anyhow some of the reasons I am here.

I have been working towards not viewing anything p related for a few months now have been using a software called ever accountable and I have a friend who has also struggled but is now clean for a long time monitoring reports which I have to admit has been very helpful.
I just came across the semen retention forums today as I am getting frustrated with the urges that come at night.
I am fine during the days but during the night a couple of times now I have woken up an found I have basically been on the verge of ejaculating and it's very annoying as I can definitely see the positive results from not doing that. Some advice on how to deal with when I. Sleeping and how to maintain control in the waking moments I am also a Christian as I think a few of you will be.
And I have really seen growth in my walk with God since I began this journey. Any tips would be appreciated.
God Bless you all keep on fighting

Hey Henry, welcome and congrats on making this first step! I'm a christian too and I've struggled a lot on this journey of recovery, but it is not a linear process. PMO is not something most people can put down for good on the first try, so if you slip don't get too down about it, just pray for forgiveness, strength, and wisdom to make changes to avoid future slips and relapses. God is with you in the journey and he will be in your corner. I wish you the best on your journey and God bless

  4. Thank you both yep that's one thing I have learnt is that no one is outside of the risk. I think I used to think I was above struggling with this type of thing which is a little arrogant but perhaps a defense mechanism. I guess I'd just ask how does one control the urges when in a dream like state and waking up early hours I'm not viewing anything but do get stronger urges than I did at the beginning. I have been wearing multiple layers of clothing to bed but that's also able to be bypassed and maybe being so restrictive is also counterproductive?

    Welcome
Please, start studying carefully what's happening in your mind > https://oceanrecoverycentre.com/2016/07/the-ultimate-guide-to-overcoming-internet-porn-addiction/

First time without porn will be stressful , but if you resist , in some months you will feel reborn.

If the first times a person relapse easly, it's okay.
The streaks becomes even longer , day by day.
Don't porn anymore, it's better to struggle and at the last to relapse than to look at porn.
No more instagram pictures of models. No more erotic imagines , erotic stories or erotic asmr.
If you experience ''flatline'' and low libido , resist.

An effective weapon to overcome urges and thoughts : mindfulness.
The brain will try to win you and to get some triggers for the seek of dopamine. Resist
