Am here now as a last resort. I am a 44 year old married guy with two beautiful children and a wife and i am throwing it all away. I work from home at a computer so this is going to be hard for me. Always had a relationship with porn but this last 3 years its gradually gotten out of control..even to the point of me joining swingers sites and chatting dirty to women to get off (would never do anything)..I also regularly watch porn online..my work is massively suffering, no one has found out yet but i they will if it carries on..i even risk looking at porn on my works laptop. It's taking over my life..I've quite before for about 2 weeks..and it felt good, but when stressed i reach out for it. I then PMO..and immediately feel worse..i flick to look for more extreme stuff (nothing illegal..just more rough sex)..I have issues with erection problems with my wife...it goes down very quick..doc prescribed sildenifil so that helps but i need to quit altogether...so this is it. From this moment no looking at porn..no chatting to women, no going on sex sites..i need to turn my life around. I have fapped this morning but now it stops I am an addict and i need to take action. Am determined..but i need accountability too. My work is seriously suffering above all else..as i am at home working alone on my laptop all day its so easy to relapse I am determined to be strong this time..I look forward to joining this community and using the resources available
Hello Gordy, I also mostly work from home and had similar problems. Due to increasing depression, I had to take days off quite often. For me not watching porn online became easy once I committed to stop any kinds of sexual fantasies. Fantasies are hard to control, but I try to stop each time I think even about something like dating, flirting, etc. My big problem is that I prefer my fantasies to reality in which I'm just a lonely virgin guy. Abstaining from fantasies greatly helps me focus on real life. I struggle a lot still, but I hope it will get easier with time.
Thanks LiLD. I fantasise too..have no idea how i got in this situation..it just sort of crept up on me. I need to do something now though or i will lose my wife, kids and the house. I also need to battle this in secret away from my wife..she has no idea. I know this is not ideal but if she found out it would destroy her..i know some might say it wouldnt but it would. Work starts today
Hey Gordy, Welcome to the NoFap community! Take a look at this information on rebooting. I've found it helpful in knowing what to expect during this process. While I don't work from home, I do work in a small office with a (potentially) unrestricted computer. The first step for me was to install k9 web protection and have a trusted friend (and accountability partner) set the password. This protects me from seeking out porn and accidentally stumbling across it. I also had a problem looking at P-Subs (see the glossary). Something I found that helps a lot with that is coming here to NoFap. Reading journals and participating in challenges has really helped me find motivation. Thanks man...i don't have anyone around that can help with the password thing..well not anyone i would care to tell i have a porn addiction anyway!..am just going to try and be strong..thing is i know it will end up ruining my life if i dont do something about it..as it has spiralled out fo control and will only get worse
Hello Gordon, as stated by our fellow fapstronaut, you should install k9 and set up a random and impossible to remember password, you must understand that rebooting is something you do forever and you don't want to go back to PMO ever again! I encourage you to start out by reading about P addiction and understanding why you PMO, then you must understand why this is wrong and why you should stop forever, it is not late and that you can get out of this

I had such problems before when I consumed a very lot amount of porn. Reducing porn, but beeing always addicted, solved the problem. My aim now is to go to zero porn. Masturbation costs body energy a lot, so, it can also explain erection problems. That is one more motivation for no PM.
@Gordy Dude you should try to pray the rosary and ask the help of the holy family to help you out and be the father and husband you are called to be to your family.
