Hey, my name is Carlos, I'm 22 years old and I've been fapping for more than 10 years now quite consistently. There are two reasons why I want to quit jacking off:
    1. I've been in a relationship for 3 years now and I have the feeling that porn really harmed my brain in the sense that I need audiographic stimuli to get going sexually. When I'm with my girlfriend, my erection dies down rather quickly and also I cannot have an orgasm with her, neither by hand nor through sex. I think that could change if I manage to abstain from porn and fapping for a really long time (1 year+).
    2. I have the feeling that fapping holds me back from making progress in other areas. Often, I fap either directly after standing up or before going to sleep which either fucks my start into the day or my sleeping rhythm. Furthermore, I would like to use the time on studying interesting subjects or reading good books instead. I manage to keep on with university but I haven't managed to make good use of my free time yet because I start fapping when I come home from university (and my girlfriend is not home, I usually don't fap if she is around, thankfully. We are living partly together, it's a bit complicated). I want to change that by taking control over my mind and resisting my urges in that direction because there are a lot of great things to learn and life is short.

It feels really good to have written it down in that manner and I'm looking forward to be a part of the NoFap-community, to interact with you and to encourage you all back. Ad astra per aspera (To the stars, through all hardships)!

    Carlos

Stay away from social media. 90% of relapses start on social media. And fapping begins with a fantasy. To control my desire to act out starts with controlling my thoughts. Good luck to you!
