I just wanted to share my story, following the advice I got from greetings message.
    Any feedback is welcome.

I joined NoFap because I was fed up with my excessive procrastination habits. I stumbled upon this site when browsing reddit, and after reading about it I realised how big part of my problem was PMO'ing.

I started fapping about 10 years ago and since I was heavily interested in video games and computers in general, porn quickly came by and never left. Since then I slowly started to get lazier and care less and less about almost anything. But my grades were good even without much effort, I didn't feel bad so I haven't noticed it up until about 2 years ago when it got much worse. I think the reason was projects in my technical studies required a lot more work and effort for results to be seen, and around that time I purchased a smartphone, so watching porn without worrying about family members catching me doing it was so much easier. And so for the last 2 years every time I was supposed to do anything time consuming I was sitting in front of my computer pretending I was doing something (because big majority of projects required doing some stuff on computer), watching porn on my phone. I was spending couple of hours daily on fapping, and because of that almost every project or homework was done with minimum effort possible and very often after a deadline.

After finishing my BSc degree in last moment possible with half-assed thesis and no feeling of accomplishment I started to acknowledge what was the problem bit by bit - at first I changed faculty for MSc studies thinking that new and fresh subjects will help me with motivation and getting work done. That wasn't the case and I started to feel worse and worse about myself and begin to be insecure about anything new (this added to my quite large collection of insecurities, because I always was skinny, introvert guy).

And then a week ago I discovered NoFap and it become clear to me what was the cause. I've done reasearch, become aware of my addiction and decided to do something about it.

I'm on a 7 day streak now (longest I've ever got was like 30 days, because of for a month I didn't do anything but playing Assassins' Creed IV on my new computer), it isn't as hard as i was expecting, but I noticed that cutting PMO won't repair all the damage, because things didn't changed that much during this period (except that I do work on my projects instead of fapping, which is good). I still sit in front of computer most of the day switching on-and-off from studies to watching YT/Twitch/other irrelevant stuff. I am not interested in basically anything - even video games, which were most interesting thing in my life, and I feel angry about it. Only games related things I do is watching other people play. PMO is also the cause my growing lack of faith, my self-confidence is none, I give up at first sight of obstacles in every aspect of my life, and my social relationships are very shallow.

I am sure that without your advice time spent on fapping will be filled with another addiction, probably browsing internet, and my situation won't move a bit in a good direction. So I'm asking you for help in developing new, healthy habits, because I feel it might be even harder for me than not doing old, destructive ones - like I said every new and unknown situation makes me feel terribly uncomftortable. In fact the only new thing I did in last 2 years, was getting a job (besides joining nofap obviously).

Any of you kind enough to read my story, I say thank you, and encourage you to give tips and advices for me to be a better person and get rid of habit, that's been ruining my life for last ten years.
