How to successfully abstain from Pmo

The thing is many people believe that we need to "resist" and fight whatsoever. That´s not wrong, in a sense.

But the thing, you don´t swallow poison and then try to "resist" it.
You don´t catch fire and then try to extinguish it.
Don´t catch fire in the first place, don´t swallow the poison in the first place.

If you find yourself getting aroused, sexually, try to justify your behaviour ( It´s just a peek or whatever..)
You are already on the verge of drinking that poison and catching fire.
You need to evade that flame you need to throw away that poison.

Well, now we are humans, and not all of us can perfectly control our every thought.
But these sexual thoughts and urges are just birds flying over your head, they are just travelers, who happen to cross your path. Don´t allow these birds to build nests in your head.

Don´t try "abstain" from porn. Try to eliminate it from your lives. Meaning, try to think in a nonsexual way (if you want to). Try to not exaggerate sex and sexual pleasure.

Real sex is not even nearly the same as in your brains. It´s just an addiction. It´s the same as any other addiction.
