Every morning I wake up, everytime it comes to mind, it lurks, and it won’t go away. I always tell myself it isn’t worth it and try to resist the urge, and just let it flow through me. But it always ends in failure. I have so many reasons to stop, and no reason to return, yet I keep going back.

I have Covenant Eyes setup in my phone with help from my parents, and I’ve deleted every app on my phone to block out the possibility of encountering an unfiltered search engine. I’m now starting to see a psychologist to help me nail down issues with this and my social life in general.

But that doesn’t solve the problem. Why do I keep going back? Why is it that I want this so much when I have so many other goals to meet and much more time to spend on them without this? Why can’t I resist my morning urges? I’m getting so desperate for it to stop that I’m considering buying a chastity device to wear at night to keep me from touching myself.

I was doing so well months ago, and now I feel I’m right back where I started. I don’t know what else to do, how else to fight it, and worse yet, why I keep wanting to go back in the first place.

This morning urge is used to being handled a particular way. Find a different way to deal with it than what you are used to.
What were you doing months ago that gave you the results you desire? Go back to that and apply whatever it was that helped you.

Give it time to change and don't give up.

The fourth word in your post is a key: Wake. The thing that tips things in your favor and make it easy enough to handle may just be proper sleep and waking up quickly, without being half asleep in that dream state where you're more likely to act out. I've had my sleep set for about a year, I almost never allow sleep deprivation, (no alarm, just wake up when I wake up) and the result is I either have an extremely short period of transition between sleeping and waking or practically none at all. I don't have to hit the snooze button and struggle, I always allow enough time to sleep as much as I need.

I'm not saying that alone is going to do it, and it is possible some people have other factors that may even be more important to address, but I'd recommend seriously looking in to this. After all how complicated is it to just let yourself sleep?
