I've been on here a little over a week. Today, was PMOx3. I feel scattered, anxious, sporadic. I am disappointed in myself, but also I know I am here and not alone. All I want to do is get a week without PMO. Thats it. Why is that so difficult? I know the mechanisms of addiction. I've read a book or two on porn addiction. I've been coming to this site for a few years. 7 days?

It is impulse control. Its with everything. I get an idea, and I immediately have to do something about it. I want to search a recipe or the news. Dinner with family be damned, im going to search for that stuff. I need to go and verify some documents, and well I have to go and look at them RIGHT NOW. WTF. This process will be to address this life long issue of following thoughts/feelings without any thinking I could at a different time. I hurt people with this behavior. Sprinkle in some porn addiction on top of that, and that is a mixture for frustration, sadness, and disappointment. I dont want to feel like this anymore.

Im here. Breathe. Notice. Acknowledge. Proceed.

    Welcome
Please, start studying carefully what's happening in your mind > https://oceanrecoverycentre.com/2016/07/the-ultimate-guide-to-overcoming-internet-porn-addiction/

First time without porn will be stressful , but if you resist , in some months you will feel reborn.

If the first times a person relapse easly, it's okay.
The streaks becomes even longer , day by day.
Don't porn anymore, it's better to struggle and at the last to relapse than to look at porn.
No more instagram pictures of models. No more erotic imagines , erotic stories or erotic asmr.
If you experience ''flatline'' and low libido , resist.

We should improve in all area of our life, just being dissatisfied or stressed makes us relapse.

An effective weapon to overcome urges and thoughts : mindfulness.
The brain will try to win you and to get some triggers for the seek of dopamine. Resist

Back at square one. How does one separate thought, feeling, and action? Within seconds, I'm looking at porn. I'll try to maintain some awareness about this and see where it leads me. I need a week clean. Thats what I need. To know what that feels like.

Thoughts lead to feelings, feelings lead to actions, actions determine outcomes. Want to change your outcomes? Change how you think.

The formula is simple, the execution takes time, effort, and usually professional help.

So much of our thinking is unconscious, driven by years of thinking and acting. Our wrong thinking is displayed in our actions, which reinforce our wrong thinking.

You CAN control your unconscious thinking that leads to acting out. You just have to figure out what it is. What belief systems do you carry deep down? Here are some examples of what it could be: Women are objects, You are entitled to orgasm whenever you want, You want to look at pornography and masturbate, You aren't strong enough, You deserve to have a release.

Once you identify the wrong thinking, this will take serious self reflection, you can then change it. If you believe, deep down, that women are objects then you simply need to reframe that to the truth and reinforce that truth by your thinking and your actions.

    Does this make sense?
