I JUST WANT TO QUIT - please help!

    hi all, 7 years ago one of my cousin showed me something on his mobile and that's the first time ever, I enjoyed watching it and I thought it was fun. but as time passed, I couldn't able to handle it and my cravings for it has increased over time.

    I've been trying to quit from the last 4 months and the highest I can hold is for 1o days.
    after 10 days I cant hold the cravings, I just go crazy and it takes me 3 days to get back in track.
    once i get slipped, it feels hard to stop doing it

    please guys, I need your help:emoji_slight_frown:

  2. Hi pal, you can do this! I know that it's hard, so try to stay focused on your motivation, why you are doing this. Also, try visualizing yourself at, let's say, one month without pornography: how crazy awesome would that be? You cand reach ten days, I bet you can reach 30. Good hunting!

  3. It would be great if you could get an accountability partner or join a group. This will help. I’m on day 10 and agree it gets very difficult at this point. I had no one to talk to about it before but now I do. I’d be glad to help you if you want. Or go on the AP page and find an AP that meets your needs.

    You should check what are the possible reasons that makes you relapse. Ask yourself whether you are 100% willing to quit porn at all costs. That determination is really needed for tackling this. By eliminating the possible reasons and modifying your life style, I'm sure things will start running the way you want them to.
    Also, whenever an urge thought strikes, just remind yourself of your previous streaks [ as @Blue Star 44 has explained above]. Also make up a list of reasons that make you want to quit porn, and refer that when urges come. Use that sudden burst of energy [a.k.a. sexual craving] for doing something meaningful and productive[Some examples are jogging, jumping ropes, push-ups, etc.] You should find out what's best for you and stick to it.
    Again, it is equally important that you have to be mentally positive. Dump the negative thoughts and start thinking positively. I would recommend you to read some of the threads from the 'Success Stories' forum. Make yourself feel that one day, even I will feel that sense of freedom.

    hey, I'm struggle to and I'm on day 5 of my failure to succeed past day 5 twice. Today, it's hard to not think about it. I'm struggle and irritated and angry and sad and depressed at times. I really want to pass my day 5. I haven't gone to the gym today and wanted to go, but I just feel like I'm not up to it.

    thank you for the help man, this really gave me hope, and ideas to hold my urges and transform it into some useful and productive work.
