I relapsed today and yesterday after a 23 day streak, yesterday 4 times and today one time.
One thing I noticed is that I dont feel and guilt or the depression like I used to feel, but still I dont want this habit in my life.
I wanna go cold turkey on this one, no leap methods or such.

I want to reach my previous milestones, I used to have 11 months clean, 156 days clean, 90 days, 73 days...

Why cant I reach that level of monk mode again?

If you have any tips I would be glad to hear.

  2. Your story matches mine.
I also have stopped PMO for a year, 4 months twice, and one month+ many times, but i have failed as you again and again; it really hurts breaking the streak.

You have relapsed so many times, now you are use to it. You don't feel the guilt as before, but deep inside you must feel ashamed of this and want to stop.

You have to know the urges; stop them at whatever the cost.

Make your streak as a life style, not a challenge.

Change your habits, stop using social media for more time, and most importantly read every week about the side effects of Porn and how to stop it; with this method your mind every week will be refreshed about its goal.

  3. I think you have realized that feeling guilty does not help. Ironically, guilt makes us relapse. It quashes other things, such as the simple desire to do better. Being too confident works in a similar way. Therefore, I believe a middling approach is best. Stay centered and focused.
I do not have magic answers. I think the above poster makes good points. And it's hardly a big secret that if you mess up once, it's easy to do it 3 or 4 more times in a day because you feel like it won't matter anyway. A lot of us have been there, brother.
Do your best to remain calm and be mindful of your actions. Stay centered & focused on your goals.
