How do you handle seeing porn/sexual things accidentally?
For example, on certain websites I can be exposed to pornography or nudity, but I don't actively search for it or look at it for any length of time. I move on.
The same goes for sexual images or models on social media like instagram. To this extent I know that I cannot control what I see online completely so I don't let it bother me or tempt me to break my reboot.
Do any of you struggle when seeing porn you weren't looking for? Do you use techniques to help you ignore it?

I have to stay away from places that would have that kind of stuff... That is playing with fire.

That's one of the biggest problems ...

An alternative is to enter monk mode for 30 days or 90 days.
That is, without internet access, television, and avoiding public places that may have women.

I do not know if this works, because in real life we have to face this, and maybe avoid being just to slow down the inevitable, and even become more sensitive and unprepared.

In the street we have incredibly attractive women in short clothes, we have panels with provocative advertisements, sexy actresses on television, and so on ...

The point is that not all people who look at these same things feel the same way. This means that you need to change your mindset, the way you react to that information.

I think the first step is to reboot, get rid of pornography and gradually you will stop thinking in women as objects, sources of pleasure. And stop fantasizing, that is, giving erotic meaning to things that do not have it.

To deal with urges, immediately stop looking at whatever has appeared, focus on something else, some like to narrate what they are doing to distract the mind "I am sitting in a chair, I am closing the webpage" ...

Do not worry too much about the little slip, focus on what to do next, worry gives strength to our thoughts.

Practice looking away, whenever you see something provocative, look away, this can create a new habit. Always congratulate yourself for being able to look away.

That is what I could think of now, but there must certainly be other tactics.

  4. I don't dwell on things, I see them and move on. This works for me now and hopefully will continue.

  5. I kind of grit my teeth as though I've tasted something disgusting, look away and attempt to compose myself. The proper technique I would recommend is to slowly breathe in and out and as Freddiefox said "see them and move on" don't sit around with it too long.

That thing you said about narrating things sounds very useful, i'm going to take use that next time I have urges or something... thanks man!

  8. I just don’t care about it to be honest. It’s only a problem if you choose to make it a problem. Just accept that you will be exposed to some sort of naughty or sexual content at some point. It’s unavoidable this is the world we live in. It’s driven by sex.

You don’t need to act on anything. If you are serious about abstaining from PMO then you will see it, glaze over it and just move on. This is a daily struggle I endure too. Seeing an attractive girl on a magazine cover, models on social media. News articles, girls in videos, YouTube even news readers and weather girls. In real life girls are everywhere.

Their voices can be a trigger, appearance, body language, scent etc... The difference between someone who faps and someone who does not is. They have an abundance mindset they know they can meet someone when ever they want to. You choose to fap because you lack the belief and mindset.

Change your thought process, commit to no PMO and one day you will succeed too. Don’t cheat yourself out of life for a lonely binge session in your cave it’s not worth it in the long run.
