Is paedophilia more common today? Is it due to porn?

The only difference of paedophilia between now and 100 years ago is media coverage. As much as we would like to blame pornography, there are plenty of kiddie touchers that wouldn't have been exposed to porn (eg. cardinal pell)

 

As far as true text book pedophiles go I think there are about the same now as back in the day the difference is now the 24 hour news media cycles they can make 1 news story seem like your kid is at risk if u open her bedroom window at night for a nice breeze. In reality if u let ur kid walk to the playground alone and play all day by herself and walk home alone the only real adult contact she would have would be from all the drama seeking adults calling out the cops and child protective services and the local news and ultimately scaring the crap out of her then would be any dangerous pedophile looking to kidnap her. Where I live we have an alert system that alerts every single person in a 200 mile area if a child comes up missing and in my life I can only remember being notified 3 times and all cases had nothing to do with being kidnapped or abused.

That being said I do think porn addictions lead to more deviancies today then back before internet which does lead to the “what the fuck did I just jack off to” instances and some of those fantasies would include sexualized images of minors but I wouldn’t classify them as pedophiles but rather porn induced deviancies that I think would go away once the brain gets away from porn addiction

 

Yes, Pornography has caused Pedophilia overtime. Porn is like a drug if you think of it the more you get into it the more fucked up your fetishes is going to be from vanilla to choclate you keep on craving more.

 

It's hard to determine really. Porn use can lead to extreme fetishes and interests that one may not have had prior to porn. Porn is bad, very bad.
