It depends on how you take it

  1. Nofap has helped me and destroyed me in many ways. It helped me by giving me some awareness of the current state of my life. In the past, I just go with the events and stuffs in my life, without even giving my glance to them. On the other hand, just like any other ambitions in life, it has burnt me. Too much passion burns. I have become too attached with its power and promises that I have forgotten myself. I forced it, and make things worse. I lost my friends, my family, my connections haha, almost everything (not all). I have created this ego of "I don't masturbate. I am better than before. You should respect me now more than you do before.". You know, when you achieved something, instead of actually sharing it to others, you accumulate more. I want more, and instead of getting more, I lose the most precious things in my life. Never be too ambitious to the point that you forget that you are a being. You forget that you are alive. You are not an entity. I am alive. Is that good?

  2. that's the moment is which you did wrong. Nofap gives you no power, gives you a new awareness of yourself, a new grip for your life, it's totally up to you who you want to become. Many of us started this journey to connect more with people because porn isolated them and maybe they have the opposite problem than you. Someone started because they want to cure themselves from the PIED and so they didn't even care about what you're saying.
It's not about nofap. It's about you. If you don't like who you are just change, it's not nofap that made you like this, it has been you. Maybe deeply this is the person you want to be or maybe you just did wrong this time and you have just to make some adjustment.
In the end just look at the mirror and ask you "who do I want to be?"

Good thing you feel alive. However, you have still created an ego. To find pure happiness from in yourself, you have to live without some ego at all. In this way, you can purely enjoy the present moment.
