Porn: a vicious cycle. It's bizarre, when the going gets tough my resolve to resist PMO shatters. I realize that I am 100x more confident, energetic, and satisfied with my life when I manage to abstain from PMO for as little as a week!

But when the temptation comes my brain eventually says "Fuck it, you need this." Then after the relapse comes the decay of my confidence, social skills, etc. Fuck. I've considered talking to my parents about it (I'm 19 living at home still :p), but honestly they're two super Catholic people, and I think they'd spontaneously implode if I told them.

As a way to combat boredom I will try to journal something everyday, hopefully that helps.

I long for the day when my confidence will be off the charts, even over 9000!!

    You can do it man!

Now, realize that you just learned a valuable trait! Whenever your brain says "Fuck it, you need this"; tell yourself "NO, I DON'T!", and laugh back at it's face! (brain-face, wait, what?)
And if you brain insists, you should abstain from every way you could relapse till it gives up.

  5. I'm sure you can do it man! I am also 19 years old as you and I've watched a BBC documentary which says that at the age of 19 the urges for guys are at their peak, so if we overcome them now that we have won it on hard diffculty you know..It's like finishing Call of duty on "veteran" difficulty. I hope we'll be free of these invisible chains soon.:D

Welcome. I'm also 19 be 20 in 6 weeks or so.

Read all you can here on the forums. Try to find how you might be affected by porn. Get a counter. Set a goal. Get an accountability partner. Make commitments and keep them. Remember only you really know if you do. Start a journal. Respond and offer support to other journals/posts. When you think about having a PMO or even a M or O if your on Hard Mode try to catch that behavior at its earliest thought & immediately do something different. Go for a walk or run, go work out, take a cold shower, they suck but are effective. Disconnect from social media you don't need it & it's a time waster with triggers easily viewed.

It begins and ends in your mind that's where the battle will be decided. Stay strong.

Hey man. Everyone stops PMO eventually. It's just a matter of when.
The earlier you stop, the further you can get in life. Think about it, successful men don't PMO. Why would they, they can have any woman they want.
It's a positive / negative feedback loop. The more you PMO, the worse your life becomes, hence you PMO more. Where as, the less you PMO, the better your life becomes, hence the less need for you to PMO.
Good luck buddy, the sooner you realise that the earlier you will stop.
