    Hey guys,

24 year old guy here in the beginning of his nofap journey. (day 15 actually).

So, basically sometime within the past year or two I began to experience what PIED. Of course, at the time, I had no idea what PIED was and automatically assumed something was wrong with my physically. There were plenty of situations within the last year in which I was in bed with beautiful women and had weak erections, or couldn't even get it up at all despite my inherent desire to be with them sexually. I began to experience tremendous amounts of anxiety relating to this, to the point where I unfortunately developed HOCD, among a hoard of other anxieties, including performance and social anxiety which I had never suffered from before.

Anyways, I've never had periods of my life spending hours a day with porn or any thing like that, I'd say I would usually MO once a day, sometimes twice, almost always to porn for the past 12 years or so. Never thought it was weird or unhealthy until I stumbled upon this. I'm sure this is a ridiculous question to ask, but, being new here I will ask any ways: does this story sound familiar to any of you guys? Looking for a little encouragement in these tough times, won't lie!

Lastly, I'd like to ask for any tips regarding how I should go about this, what to possibly expect, things to do/not do, etc. It has been 15 days since I've last MO'd. I'm not sure if MO without porn would be detrimental to me? Or if having sex would be detrimental to me during this process?

    Thanks in advance!

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and not judge you.

As you become more familiar with the site and read more journals, you will find many men with similar issues as yourself. Don't worry, your are definitely not the first person to post a situation as yours. You will find men on here who have watched more and less P than you as well as MO far more and less than you. You are in the right place.

Congratulations on making it to Day 15. That's awesome! It is important to celebrate each and every day because there was a time when you couldn't teach whatever day you are sober.

There are many theories you will read concerning whether you should or should not abstain from MO but ultimately you will have to decide wht is beat for you.
