New horizons

    Hello dear Fapstronauts,
    I'm 24, german, currently living in Berlin.
    I started fapping quite early, about the age of 11 I think. I never developed a daily PMO habit but for many years watching porn a couple of times a week was usual when I wasn't in a relationship or didn't see my gf often.

    This year i took many half-hearted attempts to stop fapping, they usually failed after 2-5 days. The biggest success was in September, let me tell you about that.
    A friend visited me for 10 days and on the first evening we talked about it, noticing that both of us haven't been masturbating for at least a week. Sure thing we didn't change that during his stay (xD) so basically we were really pumped with testosterone and decided to approach girls in the nightlife of Berlin which was a heck of fun. We spent the last 3 days in Prague where, without real effort, we were surrounded by girls most of the time. The last night we approached 2 really attractive local girls, the type of girls I'm usually too scared to approach. We spent hours in bars, kissing, touching, it was a lot of fun. A month later I met up with one of them and we had a great weekend including sex.

    The reason I'm telling you this: I want to get back to that point of feeling energized, super confident, light-hearted (is that even a word?:p)and simply unstoppable!
    I already experienced most of the so called Superpowers in times of abstinence, workout and meditation, now I decided to join this community to take it to another level and start my first serious attempt today.

    I'm looking forward to a great time of breaking our chains and reaching new horizons,
    to battle warriors!!! ;)

    @Empowered welcome to nofap. I am glad you have experienced super powers and I am hoping to get there too. Daily visits to nofap helped me keep away from pm so I recommend you to this site as often as you can.
    I noticed this trend of young people staying PMO free for sometime to get the super powers which will lead to getting girls. I my self would have thought the same way and sometimes I still think that way but there is some weakness in that logic:When you are thinking about girls you are in turn thinking about sex and when you are thinking about sex it is harder stay away from porn if you don't get sex. I recommend you to pick up a hobby which will build social life and which will ultimately get you the girl of your dreams but your immediate goal should be building a social life and enjoying your hobby(s). Just my 2 cents.

    @LakeMichigan Thanks for your reply, I understand what you mean. I chose this example to show some of the related behavior changes I've experienced, there are other examples but I wanted to limit the size of my introduction. Also, I noticed that being more attracted to the opposite gender in my daily life makes me less interested in porn as it isn't the "real deal" but maybe that changes in the long run.
    I appreciate your advice! I do a lot of personal development in my free time and I'm planning to expand that, in terms of hobbies I decided to get back to martial arts in January and establish small meditation and workout routines until then as I will be in my hometown over the holidays. Do you have any recommendations how to keep on track while being in a different environment?

    @Empowered You seem like someone who has head in the right place as you are doing meditation and working on personal development early in life. As far as keeping myself in check in a different environment..I have a routine of doing yoga and meditation for 15 minutes and walking for 30 minutes which can be done in almost all environments..may be you can practice martial arts (katas? ). I tried to intentionally keep those activities to minimum number of minutes so that I don't miss them any day except in very rare circumstances. I think that gives me structure to my day and have kept up with the routine while I was traveling as well. I think it helped me. Hopefully it works for you too.
