Your POV is really interesting. There are some that would undoubtedly agree with you, why isn't there just complete indulgence in desires without consequence? Why can't we just have these things fulfilled without judgement or red tape. But another person might ask the question, what is it that I'm really seeking? And why is it that every time I seek it outwardly in this world that it's never quite enough? Like the horizon. It seems to me that the notion of making fantasy come true is an act in willing self- deception, and to be sure MANY people would rather live in a world of lies and comfort than face the reality of their existence. I think it's because of three pivotal things that rule the human conscious. Feelings, Emotions and Experiences. If we live our lives in constant search of pleasure then we're eventually going to have to come down from all the dopamine chemicals in our brain. It's really messed up because no matter what you do in life the brain always craves more. It's never enough just to be happy and content. You always have to be searching for that higher purpose, knowledge or spiritual awakening. It's almost like we need to merge with the machine and remove feelings and emotions but I think this is very scary because it we all eventually become super humans who don't feel anything then what will we have to live for?
