I am Eric. 52 years old, single, never married, no kids. I live alone and have for most of my adult life. Porn and masturbation have been a central evil for 4 DECADES, since I was 12 years old. I am a porn addict. I want to kick this menacing addiction once and for all! I want to live the rest of my years in peace, hold my head up high, look people in the eye, have no secrets, develop real relationships and above all else FEEL. I want more male friendships, hopefully settle down with a woman life partner. I want to be a role model for all the younger porn addicts and tell them what porn will rob from you, why porn can kill you. I own up to the fact that I am the cause of my addiction. So now it is time to change, time to be courageous, fight the good fight! I would love to chat or even talk on the phone with someone in recovery, would love to chat with someone who been PMO free for sometime. I hope to hear from all of you and I admire all of you for going through the suffering to kick these habits! Peace

Good luck. It took time to dig the hole you're in, so it'll take time to dig out. Keep a sense of humor and get all the support you can. Here's one successful guy's tip (http://www.yourbrainonporn.com/age-...epression-anxiety-lethargy-more-focus-drive): "Research. Read all the articles from Your Brain On Porn. Read rebooting accounts here. Read success stories. Read studies. Then, when you're tempted, you know EXACTLY why you're rebooting, know EXACTLY what will happen if you CHOOSE to relapse, and have complete confidence in the process. Any doubt, any uncertainty leads to failure. This process works! The first couple weeks are the hardest, but once you break through and start seeing results, it gets much easier."
