    Sup fellow fapstronauts,

Since a year I found out about nofap and realised that I was addicted to porn. I discovered porn at 13 and from that moment on fapped once daily to porn on average (24 now).

Currently on a 6 week streak, been in a serious flatline for about 3 weeks now. One thing I would like to discuss is the relationship between porn use and awkwardness around people. When I was younger I was very social and could easily connect with people. When I reflect on the past years, the more porn I watched, the more awkward and less social I became.
Also, when I look back at past streaks and this streak also, I feel the longer I abstain from porn, my awkwardness around people significantly reduces. But when I relapse, I feel like utter shit and the awkwardness around (some) people comes back immediately. There are many more differences I experience during streaks (Brian fog reduces, more energy etc.) but the awkwardness part is really the ‘superpower’ that benefits me most. It just sucks to not feel confident around people because of the awkwardness that is very likely caused by porn. Anyone who can relate to this?

I think porn is a kind of escapism. I like you was socially awkward, still am to certain extent, but I think that issue pre-dated my heavy use of porn. However, those that are naturally awkward as pre-disposed to find comfort in porn, it's easy to access and doesn't need to you engage with it.

That's not to say that social butterflys don't use porn, it's just that because they find real life interactions with women easier they perhaps don't fall so far.

Finding hobbies that allow real life interaction will help build the social skills that you need.

    Good luck.
