    Hello.
I'm Aris, a 25 yo guy from Greece.

I have been following NoFap for a little while and I'm trying to get out of this ville cycle of loneliness and self-destruction.

I believe that a person's willpower and mind are the most powerful weapons against any situation but in most cases this has to be the last resort and other forces have to come first in this battle.

Porn is a click away from the entry page of any browser and that is unfortunate because as a user realised that if a couple of minutes pass by, you may not Slip-up at all. Relapsing is something different but Slip-ups are also important because Imo they usually lead to a full blown relapse.

As a new member I want to ask:

What other weapons exist in our arsenal?
I have ordered the book "Your Brain On Porn" by Gary Wilson.
I also realised today that while you are trying to escape it is getting far more difficult if you fail a couple of times because of the enthusiasm that a porn encounter offers to an abstaining user after a period of time.

So I decided that I have to use every weapon I can use, including my willpower and my damaged brain to avoid this habit that robbed me 12 years of relationships and start being more commited to that mision even if the road to reboot is not an easy path.

    My question is
    Are browser anti-porn addons help?
    What else can I do?
    What has helped you?

I find anti-porn addon very helpful. Additionaly I have enabled 'Safe browsing' mode in Google, don't search for images and limit my usage of internet and social media.
When it comes to books: "The sex addiction workbook" by Sbraga & O'Donohue ... has helped me a lot.

Hi Aris, first of all I wish you success in your process.
What helps were these actions I've taken:
    1) Blocked porn sites on my PC via the host file and using Blocksite.
    2) I did it as well on my smartphone.
    3) I bought a smartwatch with an alarm so I won't have to charge and put my phone in my room each night - Probably the most important for me, since my cue for fapping was having my phone near me each night.
    4) Sharing my E.D. story with a good friend I can trust and made him to be the I can talk to about these topics.
    5) Placing the Kindle in my bed so whenever I can't sleep and need my "screen" dose, I'll have it with good content
    6) Made a fixed schedule which includes workouts, career improvements and social life.

Thank you guys for your replys.

I will follow your advise and buy the book too. It's things I also need to do. Reading is a healthy substitute that provides dopamine and can help our lives grow far more than social media scrolling.

I wish both of you the best and hope you are doing allright.

Yes, blockers work. But you can't rely on them alone.
