Porn on twitter

I've got the same problem. Apparently, all kinds of porn, variating from soft-erotic content to hardcore porn is allowed on that platform. Also, the Taliban, and other terrorist organizations are allowed on Twitter. Personally, I think Twitter is okay with this evil, and they are willing to spread it around the globe. Just delete your account and block the site.

 

Sounds like your initial attempts at kicking the habit were done for the wrong reason. Being someone on this site with lots of time is an extremely mediocre goal for any man. For those of us that have put together some time, we did so as a byproduct of our greater sense of purpose. Love porn, hate porn, doesn't matter - that's two sides of the same coin. What are you doing with your life that you are excited and happy about? What is latent and waiting for you to start doing more of? How much time and energy can you redirect towards exercise and some sort of creative endeavor of your own? Attempting to answer these questions and others like them is the way out of the prison. If you don't have a life you want to live, why wouldn't you waste it on twitter? What sort of life do you want to live and what are you doing to turn that life into a reality? What is it that you think you are capable of accomplishing before the year is over? I am not saying honestly asking yourself these things is easy or comfortable because it isn't. But an honest and ongoing effort along those line is way more satisfying than porn ever could be. Sooner or later you just start to see porn as the road block that it is. It's a dead end on the road of life. Camp out there as long as you want or start following those of us that have found a way out. Choice is yours just like it is mine.

It's no surprise that an old habit is lurking when you are having a tough time, as do many are right now. You can probably figure out what is making it so tough, and then look for ways to face it. Write about, talk about with friends, talk about it with a therapist, or even here. Maybe just sit and meditate. Dealing with it will make it feel smaller, and making it smaller may reduce be need to escape from it. You can walk away from Twitter initially, but use that time to flesh out and face any issues.

 

Yeah twitter seems to be my second favourite site to jack of to. My first site seems to be a cam site, then twitter seems to be my second.

 

My problem is reddit.
At first i thought, it is a good app. But one day i found something very sexual, then i started searching shameless stuff and got addicted.

Now porn site is not my problem. Whenever this evil thing come in my mind, i am manipulated to go to reddit .
Its very dangerous . I feel sorry for myself. How i am destroying my manliness.

 

Twitter is indeed a big source of P, for me almost all my relapses started there.. sometimes I think "okay lemme just check for a few seconds how my favorite actress is doing, how does she look now? HOLY SHIT this new scene looks amazing I gotta peek for a few seconds" Ive been doing nofap for 3 years, didnt fap for 6 months now but sometimes I peek for a few seconds (or longer lol) and afterwards I want to punch myself in the face

 

If you need twitter for something else you can install Pluckeye and block images and videos on twitter (and other websites).

But it's pretty bad, yes. I remember the days when twitter, reddit & Co were young and "innocent". Nowadays they are basically porn sites. I also find it sad how political opinions are censored while pornographic photos and videos or calls to violence can be spread without consequences.

 

Take it from someone who has been there and done that already, going to college is not going to be enough. It wont hurt, especially if you study something useful that will eventually make you more money than you might make otherwise. But in terms of kicking porn, attracting the people that you want into your life, and overall personal satisfaction, college isn't going to do the trick. Odds are you have enough will power already, you just need to learn how to use it. How much time do you spend each day exercising? What are your hobbies and how much time do you spend engaging with them, developing your abilities? How much time do you spend around other men that motivate you to actively pursue and develop your own interests? If you don't have good answers to those questions and others like them you can expect to stay mentally stuck right where you are no matter how much education that you get. Not trying to get you down here; trying to point you in the right direction.

 

Just coming back onto NoFap for the first time in months after looking at porn on twitter and I saw this thread! Serendipity right there (or my higher power making moves? Who knows.)

Twitter is the worst place for porn. Not only can you access all the usual stuff you might be able to access on any other porn site (with maybe just the shorter vide length being the only discernible difference), but they have some insanely fucked up shit on there as well. Like DanielHanes said above, it seems as if they really don't care all that much about what goes on there - sure, if it gets reported then maybe it will be taken down, but they don't care enough to seriously put safeguards in place to ensure that it is a safe place to begin with. It's ridiculous. They rely almost 100% on their users to report abusive content, but also give their users free reign to post whatever they want in the first place! Make it make sense.

Anyway, rant aside, I have also really struggled with looking at porn on Twitter. It is like Facebook - I can somehow convince myself that since it isn't an 'actual' porn site, it isn't looking at porn. That logic comes back to bite me in the ass when I find myself 2 hours into a porn binge on Twitter, my mind frazzled and my eyes wonky.

 

Taliban aren't terrorist bruh.

 

To say the least.

 

In my head, Twitter and Reddit are porn sites. They distribute it, profit off of it, and celebrate it. No doubt the owners and operators consume it.

For me, this also extends to dating apps, which are often filled with surprise "soft" porn.

If I am to take sobriety seriously, these all need to be out of my life.
