Porn women and fashion

  1. I am at the gym right now and some girls really dress like in the porn. I dont need to a draw you a picture.

So I am wondering: do the porn girls wear certain types of clothes and workour certain parts of the body because it's trendy in the real world, or are the girls dressing like that (especially at the gym) because they themselves have watch too much porn and think they need to dress like that to look nice?

Generally, I am wondering where elegance has gone. One in a hundred girls these days still has style and elegance. They don't understand it's not about showing you're hot and trying to be sexy all the time. Clearly these days a lot of girls (especially younger ones) think it's all about showing their legs and a**. It's sad. Do they not aspire to greater thinga than just being a hot piece of a** for men to look at and have dirty thougts in mind?

PS: Please don't tell me it's because yoga pants are more comfortable than regular gym pants. I was told that several times and I don't believe that's the reason they all wear that type of pants. I think you know why they wear it and it's sad. I hope I'm wrong.

If some of the nofap girls read this I'll be happy to have their point of virw. Sorry for the crude language above (I'm sure you're used to it being on these forums). I really hope you can tell me that porn twisted my opinion on the matter.

  2. I understand your sentiment, it's something I have begun to think about recently. Fashion and how that is used to express a womans (or mans) sexuality. I have read a good book that touches on this subject called 'Pornland, how porn has hijacked our sexuality' by Gail Dines, i'd highly recommend it. In the book she talks briefly about how girls are faced with an option to be fu##able or invisible, which is probably a bit of a simplification but there is a contrast between how women dress and how men dress. There is certainly less pressure on men to dress a particular way unless it's some kind of formal event or business meeting. I think because women tend to be judged on physical appearance socially and in the media a lot more intensely than men it leads to a certain level of anxiety for some women, having said that though if a woman is confident in her self then she should feel comfortable to wear what she wants. I don't believe in telling people what they can and can't wear in general, obviously there are some things that are just common sense like don't go out shopping wearing just a thong ! lol

The thing which i believe is becomming more of a problem that flies under the radar of public consciousness is the sexualisation of childhood, I have seen it myself young girls wearing see through tights and nothing else just walking down the street and i think this person is too young to understand the kind of unwanted attention she might attract. Not her fault but it's possibly something to do with being naive and wanting to fit in with her peers. Children often want to 'look older' remember when you were young and couldn't wait to grow up and do all the things adults do?, young girls tend to enjoy playing with mums make up etc. But when adult fashion becomes more and more revealing and accentuates certain body parts then children might not understand the social reasons behind that and just think innocently that it's what you have to wear to look older. This all obviously depends on the role models they have in life too. A lot of music videos offer dancers and singers especially female ones in extremely revealing attire, a lot of the time as an ex porn addict, I can see the outfits having been influenced by something on a porn film which involves BDSM. That's just one of the ways which mainstream culture is influenced. There is an old saying in advertising that goes 'people want what you tell them they want' on a side note, there are a lot of gyms or workout groups that are 'women only'

Sadly, we humans crave attention and we need it to survive, these girls have been mislead and this fucked up society instead of teaching them to achieve greatness academically, athletically or even artistically they only focus on their body... truly sad

  4. I think it's more so the later than the former. While porn viewing among has gone up I still think the majority of women don't view it.

I don't know why they wear them actually but I know people are complicated and I can imagine people wearing them for all sorts of reasons.
They might be their wearing them because they find them comfortable but people are different. People find jeans comfortable but I don't. Some might wear them because they look cool or they're in style. Some might wear them because when they were young they were forbidden from wearing such clothes and now they're adults no one can tell them what to wear, so they wear them. Some might also wear them for the attention but I think it depends on the person.

But really if a woman tells you she wears yoga pants because they're comfortable you should believe her, there's no point in asking her if you've already made up your as to why she actually wears them.

  5. Sorry if I came across a bit aggressive in my last post. I just think we should take people at their word. Some people might lie but it's not good to walk around with suspicious minds.

There was an interview with the Olympic athlete Jessica Ennis and she said this about the way she dresses:
"None of us have gone into sport because we want to be looked at like that. We wear very little, but it's not for that reason. It's for performance reasons".

You can read the full interview here. There's no sexy photos or anything but she does talk about a YouTube video and it might be triggery for some.

  6. Not at all. I asked my question to get answers like yours, so thank you.

  7. Interesting New York Times article "Why Yoga Pants Are Bad for Women"

    https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/17/opinion/sunday/yoga-pants-sweatpants-women.html

"What is it about yoga in particular that seems to require this? Are practitioners really worried that a normal-width pant leg is going to throttle them mid-lotus pose?"

"We felt we had to look hot on dates — a given. We felt we had to look hot at the office — problematic. But now we’ve internalized the idea that we have to look hot at the gym? Give me a break. The gym is one of the few places where we’re supposed to be able to focus on how our bodies feel, not just on how they look. We need to remember that. Sweatpants can help."

This is why I hit the gym at ungodly hours. Even the weightlifting section isn't safe as girls do cross-fit shizzle

I wear yoga pants because they are comfortable. I don't do fashion, I do have some nice shirts but mostly I wear tee-shirts and yoga or other non jean pants. I don't like jeans, I don't own any. But I don't wear skin tight yoga pants. I am a tom-boy at heart, always have been always will be. I normally dress in what is comfortable for me and I don't care what is in fashion or what other people will think.

I spoke to a girl about gyms recently and she admitted to hating them.. only wanted to work out at home.

Her reason was she got too many looks. Not from guys, but from other girls who were judging her. She didn't want to wear the tightest clothing etc. and apparently she got a few 'downward stares' from other girls..

I have a theory that once a certain 'hot fashion item' gets out there a bit, it becomes a way for women to set themselves apart from each other. Like a competition.

Imagine if us guys could put on a six pack for a day.. girls can have that effect much easier with clothes, so it may be tempting and they don't want to be the 'plain Jane' or odd one out when at college, work, shops, gym... basically anywhere lol.
