Procrasturbation? How to avoid being horny or think about sex every seconds...

    So I promised my self to start as a new, but today I failed again. I had to work from home to develop a videogame, but today I was so horny that at some point I discovered this "procrasturbation", which is a way to waste time and masturbate so you con focus on study or work better after you've done it.
    For me didn't worked because in the moment I orgasmed, my brother come home and I had to help to so couldn't continue with the job.
    But how can, me and you, avoid falling again and keep our mind on focus? Like I can't go all time to socialize, get out or stop working and do something else every time I feel horny the body wakes up.

    What do you mean you can't stop working? You stopped to help your brother with something when he got home right?

    I have a standard 9-5 job and using the braks to exercise a couple times a day helps a lot, just for starters.

    I'm a game developer who work from home, I manage my time and all, but I said that sometimes my mind can't keep me focus only on the job and It start to think about naughty stuff, that's how I discovered that doing PMO can make your mind free from porn and continue to focus better on the job without distraction. That's why I'm trying to avoid.

    Oh ok. Yep it's about keeping our mind even, there are a lot of factors that play into that and physical activity is one of them. I'd imagine most people are a lot more likely to act out when sitting, especially when focused on the computer than moving about.

    Or look at it this way - masturbation is like exercising your genitals, instead the rest of our body doesn't get moved. Or with porn it's more so those parts of the brain network that gets exercised, instead of other ways of thinking. The social isolation given the past year of lockdown doesn't help, so we need to find way to have a balance of physical and mental activity.

    My guess is if we don't, once you're on the job or whatever you need to focus on it's just going to be too hard, you know? But with more exercise lately for example I'm finding it's just that much easier to get up out of the chair, even if it's just to go grab some papers or the ability and readiness to get up instead of sit there, which means it's more likely to goof off because even without porn there's plenty to surf on right?

    * If your body and mind is a game environment, and the PMO is the character in the game, develop a game that's really hard for it to get very far. Unplayable actually. In a way when we start out it's like easy mode for "the addict" because conditions are ripe and we're used to it being that way. Of course the challenge and difference with developing our own system is you can't just write code and it'll be carried out, we have to be consistent in our routine for it to stick. What I've mentioned may sound like small things that are insignificant but it's all a part of the environment you want to have isn't it?

    Also in the beginning you may need to spend more time to build a foundation, that seems to be the case with anything right? On a psychological level I think sometimes it helps to read/watch content about the negative effects of porn to remind us, which might need to be done on a fairly regular basis and more frequently in the beginning but the time investment pays off in the long run.

    This is of course by no means an exhaustive list but without knowing more it's just throwing a few possible things to consider.

    In the time you get tempted, do some exercises, maybe play an instrument if you have one or work on other things like learning a language, going outside for a walk, meditation. You can meditate on becoming more efficient at work for example! Or just clear your mind.
